lol... i used to get scared i'd go into labor alone at home. i lived way WAY out in the bayou... 1.5-2 hours from my delivering hospital. jer worked nights.. closest neighbor was a crack house and then a family about a block down. as it happens, i was alone, but jer got there in time and my contractions were still 3 minutes apart when we got to the hospital.

lol. that would suck BIG, but as long as you didn't have complications it wouldn't be the worst thing ever. lol. and i'm sure you'd call for an ambulance if it got to that point. i wouldn't stress too bad about it.

I post this link to my page on facebook and one of my sorority sisters from college writes (edited, shortened):

my second child was born in the parking lot of Home Depot! My husband was driving me to the hospital and we never made it! Little guy wanted out and my husband called 911 and pulled into the nearest parking lot. My water broke as soon as the squad arrived and they lifted me into the ambulance. They were planning on rushing me to the nearest hospital, but then he started crowning. Nine firemen were on the scene and I think about seven were gathered around me. Don't worry--there were some hot ones! Not that I realized that until I met them all a few weeks later! My husband called the ambulance at 2:37 pm and my son was born at 2:46! LOL!
