we've been eating a lot of "simple" foods lately... hamburger meat mostly because it's fast.  hamburgers, manwhich, hamburger helper, salisbury steaks...etc. anything that takes me ten to fifteen minutes to get cooked, add a starch (rice or potato) and pick a veggie...


very boring... I'm looking forward to having more energy to get back to making real food in a few weeks.

Hangers--I discovered skinless boneless chicken thighs and they rock my socks off!  No work other than seasoning them how you want and throwing them in the oven.  Same deal as the beef just pick a starch and a veggie and go!

now if I could just get my kids to eat when we DON'T eat out...spoiled brats got used to getting "junk" or take out when I was sick a few weeks back and their daddy didn't feel like cooking...

my son has been sneaking leftover pizza before and after meals this week and then telling me he's "full"  Angry

dangit I realize it's nothing exciting but ya can't live on PIZZA, and it's a lot healthier than pizza and me and mr. hangers are both finding the food edible and eating it so what's the problem heathens???  Angry  :rofl:

Thats very close to what we're having.  Broiled boneless skinless thighs with BBQ sauce, broccoli and cheese sauce, curried sweet potatoes and greek rice.

Hubs wants to go out, I haven't bathed since last night since I knew I would be painting today and I'm totally dressed down in comfy clothes so I'm not feeling like being seen.  But I also don't want to cook.  Cheesy
