Sorry everyone! No worries,  Amy had it right, I don't scare easily! Just been busy with the holidays and the new pupper, etc!  And, this is a perfect example of how sometimes I forget about posts :oX  I always seem to get distracted before I can get on here and now with the two dogs.... it's double the distraction hehe.

She's from my one pup, Christian's, same litter, so they are the same age.  There were 4 left from his litter and the family was living with I believe 8 or 9 dogs and multiple cats and the husband just lost his job so they were having a hard time with that many animals.  We originally were going to buy her back in September, but then when I found out I was getting laid off, we couldn't spend the money.  However, with their difficulties, she was just offered to us for free because they really just wanted to get them to good homes Shocked)  Another of his sisters went to someone who also had a brother from their litter, and that womans sister took one of the boys left as well Shocked

So, she's doing pretty good.  Biggest problem at the moment is potty training.  I think she was semi trained but with that many dogs, when an accident occurs I'm sure they never knew who it was.  So, we're working on that :oP  That and her name *should* be houdini because she managed to squiggle out of her crate when we went to my OB appt today (btw, heard the heart beat, so happy! going in two weeks to find the sex!) so we have to  fortify the crate hehe.  (They both have huge comfy cozy crates that we try to make a special place for them :) )

Her name that she came with was Mercedez, but we didn't think it fit her, nor us.  She's very dainty, and gentl and loving... but we wanted to keep the name similar, sooooo her name is Mercy Shocked)  or her same nickname she had before of MerMer Shocked)

So, I'm still around!  Just super busy distracted and a bit forgetful.  D'oh!

I love the name Mercy!!!! That is totally adorable!!! I hope you can post pics of her when things settle down for you guys.

We are thinking about getting a pup in the spring. I'm freaking out about potty training. I'm having a had enough time trying to potty train my 2 year old!  Cheesy

Glad your holidays were nice!

Thanks! we love the name as well.  It's very fitting for her too methinks Shocked)

With our first, we lived in an apartment at the time so it was hard to fully potty train him (especially since we weren't allowed dogs there and it's so hard to hide a husky.  we were supposed to be in a house soon after getting him but that fell apart ...good news is the house we have now we like much better, but it meant almost 6 months of apartment living with the pupper) so we relied on weewee pads a lot haha.  She's getting good too at realizing outside is for poop and pee. She already knew, she's over a year old but being in the new surroundings and not knowing how to vocalize she had to go out was the problem I think.

Let's see if I can post a pic of them, she's the smaller of the two:

Thanks, I think they are perfect too  Grin life is great with such lovable fuzzies!

And why yes, that is an autographed photo of Santa hehe.  It says To Rebecca Love Santa.  Fun little tidbit, I'm actually related to him!  That's my stepfathers Uncle!  Uncle Skip.  He lives in TX, but he really *is* Santa.  The few times I've seen him in real life (which really were just funerals sadly... Sad  ) he WAS Santa,  even dressed all in black.  He even laughs like "ho ho ho!"  it's pretty neat.  He sends out pics of himself to people like that.  My aunt has one for her dog too (well, her dog that passed a couple years ago Sad ) cause she has no kids.  I love being related to Santa hehe!
