For my bridal shower, I got a whole bunch of small terra cotta pots, and filled them with mesh bags full of wildflower seeds. I told people to scatter the seeds, and then reuse the pots for something else growing. I also found ceramic vases that looked like watering cans and filled them with silk flowers to make centerpieces for the tables. On each table, one of the small flower pots at each place had a penny taped to the bottom - whoever got the penny got to take home the centerpiece. Other than that, we didn't play any games or anything. My ceramic watering can still looks beautiful on my dresser, and I scattered the wildflower seeds at our old place - they looked great, and nothing in particular got wasted.

We used the centerpieces as prizes. Just make super cool centerpieces. What time of the year is she due?

I didn't have a wedding shower, but for my baby shower we used really pretty plants in cool pots as a centerpiece and a bunch of glittered "words" thrown around the table. Wait, does that help?  Cheesy

I was going to suggest soap, but this looks like it might be over my head.
