I think the flight attendant was totally justified.  Baby girl also had a black eye which the mother reported is from a dog bite.  If a parent is willing to slap a screaming baby in the face in front of a plane full of people? I bet the parents aren't so kind when no one is looking.

My main reason for saying she's justified is because if you feel a situation is unsafe for a child, then it is better to err on the side of caution.

I am casting the lone dissenting No vote.

Effin off while still on duty in that kind of job is never justified in my opinion.

Hunt the bitch down and cunt punt her in the baggage area? Well, maybe.

I'm only saying yes because it sounds like the parents had a choice to hand the kid over.  If they didn't have a choice, then I would say no.  I think she does have an obligation to her other passengers to try to get a volatile situation under control.

"I think it was a solid move from the part of the flight attendant to take custody of the child," airport police chief Marshall Katz said. "It neutralized the situation, it calmed everybody down."

I agree with this...just depends on how it was handled...

Give me the baby, you parents suck!

or

Do you want me to take the baby for a minute?

hmmm.... depends. It would just depend entirely on how it was handled...

and the reason I would say yes it is the flight attendants job to get the plane under control... so she did her job...
