From what I hear it was 72 degrees this morning... (looks longingly at the broken mini blinds in hotel room...)


Been here since wee hours sunday morning... Feels Like weeks!! Lol mama needs sunshine!!

Thursday after I get chico off to school Lil peanut and I are gonna drive around and photograph some of the damage you won't see on television...0we just got back into what I would consider our "area"... And I'm amazed we are getting power this quickly...its BAD.


Hubby and FIL and BIL are launching the boat this weekend to go check out the beach property. The only way to get to the beach is by boat or helicopter. The roads and bridges are irreparable and/or gone... So they are looking at a four hour one way boat trip instead of what used to be an hour drive... Craziness... (I think they will be taking pictures of an empty lot so I will post before and after pics so yall will see the total effect)

Maaaan..... its been nice & chilly here lately. Now their saying its gonna be in the 70's for the next 3 days.  Angry All this up & down just makes the kids at school get super sick.  Sad

It's the same here...but it alternates daily... 72 during the day and turns about 50 or lower the second the sun sinks...both kiddos have stuffy noses (as do momma and daddy hangers....)

So who else is about to get creamed? We're not lookin too bad for tonite - only 3-5 inches....but further south and east looks pretty nasty!!

The hardest part of going to bed in stormy weather for me is that I'm on the bottom floor and my kids are on the first floor.  I always feel like they're more likely in harm's way.  I rarely sleep if we're in warning status.*   Grin
